Hi friend,
Both Tutti and I have had a pretty packed couple of months.
As you’re probably aware thanks to my “milking it for all its worth” posts on LinkedIn, I got married at the beginning of June.
In the lead up to that, I also:
- Gave two talks about my experience in marketplaces in San Francisco and met a boatload of fascinating people. Including the person who quite literally wrote the rule in Airbnb policies stating that people are not allowed to use the properties for film shoots - she hated writing that (years ago) and loved what we’re doing.
- Delivered the best live pitch I’ve ever given for Tutti, for CultTech Demo Day in Vienna. You can watch that here.
- Suffered a micro burn out - doing all this while simultaneously planning a 6 day event for 100 people (the wedding) is too much!
- Took a proper 2 week break for the wedding and the team stepped up and handled everything brilliantly.
While I was away, the team:
- Created our 2,000th listing
- Built 80% of our booking widget, which gives our venues 2 lines of code they can insert into any website to simplify communications with clients & automate receiving bookings from their website.
- Designed and tested initial frameworks for our sales processes of the future.
In the 2 weeks between wedding and honeymoon (which starts tomorrow 5th July), we:
- Got positive feedback on the data room for our next round: www.2t.fyi which I'll focus on upon my return from honeymoon
- Had 25 soft commits and we're not even properly shopping the deal around yet.
- Attended the Meetings Show at Confex, and had multiple large companies express interest in listing with us.
- Received a request for the first Tutti gift card
